World Oceans Day in Playa Fantasia

On June 8th, we celebrated World Oceans Day in Playa Fantasia. This special day was established to highlight the critical importance of the oceans. The oceans are the planet’s main lungs, responsible for generating much of the oxygen we breathe. They also house most of the Earth’s biodiversity. The oceans play a vital role in sustaining all life on Earth.

Unfortunately, over the years, humans have caused significant damage to the seas and oceans in their pursuit of progress. Every year, thousands of plant and animal species go extinct because of the large amounts of waste and pollutants dumped into the seas. While some governments have made efforts to address the problem, these measures have not been enough to prevent the destruction of marine ecosystems.

Celebrating World Oceans Day: The Vital Role of Seas and Oceans

Now, more than ever, humanity must act to protect the planet. Thousands of species continue to die due to human negligence and excessive ambition. We have caused nearly irreversible damage to ecosystems, leading to the extinction of many animals and plants.

We invite you to join us in taking action, whether individually or collectively, to protect the oceans and their vital role in sustaining life. At our company, we are committed to preserving the planet. We take great pride in contributing to the cleanup of Playa Fantasia.

I fell in love with Costa Rica years ago during a family vacation. The funny thing about Costa Rica is that once you visit it, the feeling and the country never leave you. Costa Rica is just that place, a place where you could never get enough of the lifestyle, the slowness, and the deep appreciation for life.
