The tour begins by sailing aboard a 50' catamaran for 40 minutes to Playa Fantasia. When we arrive at Playa Fantasia, we will see a beautiful white beach, with turquoise waters and no crowds. We often see scarlet macaws, monkeys and sloths. The sunset cruise in Playa Jaco is a unique combination of a catamaran tour and a secluded beach. The beach is accessible only by sea and is a true gem off the beaten path.

What time does the Jaco Sunset Tour start and where does it depart from?

The tour departs daily at 1:30pm from Playa Herradura, and ends at 6pm at sunset.
Transportation is available. We can pick you up directly from your hotel in Jaco Beach and Los Sueños Marriott Resort. or please contact us for transportation outside these areas.

Yes, the Jaco Sunset Tour is family-oriented and ideal for children. It is not a booze cruise and focuses on providing a relaxing and nature-filled experience.

What wildlife can I expect to see during the tour?
Did you know that Playa Fantasia is located within a National Wildlife Refuge? Click here to read more about Playa Fantasia. At Playa Fantasia, you might encounter scarlet macaws, white-faced monkeys, sloths, and toucans. During the return cruise, you may spot dolphins, manta rays, and even whales.
Can I snorkel during the Jaco Sunset Tour?
Snorkeling is best during the morning tours when visibility is clearer. If snorkeling is a priority, we recommend booking one of our morning day tours instead. If you would like to book on the morning tour, click here

- Our Charters are not recommended for guests with limited mobility due to uneven surfaces and boarding from tenders.
- Our charters are not booze cruises, safety is our number one priority. If you are looking for a booze cruise, you will be disappointed.
- Our crew reserves the right to refuse entry without refund to guests who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication.
- We reserve the right to stop serving alcohol if it is affecting the safety of the crew, boat, or passengers.
- Although there are shaded areas on board, please prepare to spend the majority of your trip in direct or indirect sunlight.
- We do not cancel our trips due to rain, in the event of cancellation you will be given an alternative date or full refund.
